Position Summary

ION is looking for a full-time Origination Manager to support the overall commercialization of ION’s transformative energy transition technology. This includes driving inbound and outbound lead generation, performing market and project analysis to support market development and qualification of customers through the initial phases of project development, and serving as the point of contact for customers during the development stages. Planning and prioritization, collaboration and teamwork with customer teams, and ION teams, plus business and industry acumen are “must have” skills and requirements for success in the role. This position will report directly to the Vice President, Business Development.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Builds, executes and delivers market development KPIs, and tracks and reports on such KPIs.

• Collaborates and manages relationships between Sales, Marketing, Engineering and Finance groups.

• Builds effective relationships and networks that produce quality ION customer interest and qualified leads.

• Effectively builds impactful presentations for both internal audiences and potential customers.

• Assists with developing proposals for prospective customers.

• Serves as a point of contact for business-oriented client relationships and aligns cross functionally with ION Project Management team.

• Updates the CRM, including accurately forecasting customers’ next steps.

• Understands technical concepts, customer requirements and ION processes and technology sufficiently to be able to communicate and provide guidance to potential customers.

• Performs decarbonized market research, builds detailed market presentations, and presents findings to Business Development team.

• Supports the development of, and performs updates to, project risk registry for assigned customer projects.

Qualifications, Education, and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics or related field or equivalent education and 3+ years demonstrated combustion or carbon capture experience

• Aptitude to identify, initiate, or complete Master’s degree in business preferred

• 5+ years of business development experience with 3+ years representing technical, extended sales cycle, decarbonized market management

• 7+ years of relevant market development experience selling into energy production or manufacturing verticals preferred

Position Summary

ION is searching for a Process Engineer to support the Research, Development and Technology (RD&T) team currently involved in designing, operating, and reporting results within ION’s pilot test program. These results are used to directly support ION’s design of large-scale commercial CO₂ capture facilities worldwide. The Process Engineer broadly provides input to and performs activities related to the RD&T trajectory of development such as design, implementation, and maintenance of new process methods and controls for ION's proprietary technology solutions related to CO₂ capture. This position provides quality, safety, and innovation in support of the commercialization path of products. This position will require a hands-on individual that has the capability to produce high-quality process engineering deliverables according to a schedule and within budget that meet current pilot requirements. They must be able to develop solutions to complex problems that require a high degree of innovation and ingenuity when background data is nonexistent. ION’s RD&T process engineering team works collaboratively with each other and with other engineers in mechanical engineering and process controls. At times, the role interfaces with ION’s Project Delivery team to support large-scale commercial deployment. This role will report directly to the Senior Director, Advanced Engineering, R&D.

• Runs the pilot commissioning, operations, troubleshooting and reporting programs with oversight from ION management

• Works with the ION RD&T team to design, assemble, commission, and operate prototype devices and process units to deploy in pilot settings

The lead responsibility is to function as a technical specialist developing and employing advanced mechanical engineering concepts, techniques, and standards. This position will require a hands-on individual. Additionally, this individual produces high-quality procedures and manuals for operating and maintaining the equipment under charge.

EssentialDuties and Responsibilities:

·       Perform engineering activities as a discipline lead and with minimal supervision.

·       Design mechanical components to fulfill process requirements.

·       Plan layout and integration of equipment into facilities and modular assemblies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting and Analysis: Maintain financial records, reconcile general ledger accounts, prepare bank reconciliations, and other routine accounting procedures to support the closing of our financial records monthly, quarterly, annually, and the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, management reports and variance analysis to be utilized to identify trends, from which the Senior Accountant will provide actionable recommendations.

Working Capital Management: Oversee the company’s cash flow, monitoring income and expenditures, and effectively managing cash receipts and disbursements to optimize financial performance, working capital and strategic investments. Manage the processes for accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice creation, payment processing, and overdue account management.

Invoicing: Preparing accurate invoices to commercial customers and the Department of Energy (DOE) in a timely manner, tracking payments, and addressing any billing inquiries.

Disbursements: Reviewing the accuracy of invoices and other cash disbursements in comparison to purchase orders and contractual obligations, recording disbursements in the general ledger and maintaining all supporting documentation within the accounting system.

Budgeting and Forecasting: Actively participate in the annual budgeting process and provide continuous forecasting to support strategic planning. Work closely with key stakeholders to identify income opportunities and cost savings to drive profitability.

Financial Process Enhancement: Continuously assess and improve financial processes, internal controls, and procedures to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and transparency. Implement best practices to streamline workflows and drive operational excellence.

Compliance and Regulatory Affairs: Ensure compliance with all relevant financial and DOE regulations and US GAAP. Coordinate with external auditors during DOE and traditional financial audits and lead the preparation of necessary documentation and schedules. Assist with periodic reporting to taxing and regulatory authorities, including completion of business licenses, and 1099s.

Business Collaboration: Partner with project managers and corporate managers in developing operational metrics that enable informed decision-making.

Ad Hoc Tasks: Undertake additional duties as needed.

Qualifications,Education, and Experience:

·       Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field or equivalent education and experience

·       Between2-4 years of progressive experience in accounting, preferably comprised of time with a public accounting firm and private industry

·       CPA, CMA, or similar designation is preferred

·       Thorough knowledge of US GAAP and other relevant accounting principles

·       Experience with financial reporting and analysis, budgeting, and forecasting

·       Strong understanding of regulatory compliance (DOE grant expertise is a plus) and experience with external audits

·       Expertise in Netsuite is a must, expertise in QuickBooks is a plus

Essential Job Functions:

·      Leads the Finance & Accounting Organization

·      EvaluatesCompany’s financial performance, identifies financial strengths and weaknesses and proposes corrective actions

·      Provides strategic management for the accounting, tax compliance, financial planning& reporting, insurance, and treasury functions

·      Ensures that Company’s financial reports are accurate, in compliance with US GAAP and completed in a timely manner

·      Oversees the preparation of monthly management reports, and forecasts/budgets for internal and external uses

·      Drafts and implements policies and best practices (including internal controls) to support achievement of objectives and required standards.

·      Manages cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity to meet Company's needs

·      Presents Company’s Financial Performance to the President, CEO, and/or the Board

·      Manages relationships with consultants, and auditors

·      Advises on long-term business and financial planning

·      Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and best practices, including but not limited to tax laws, generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), federal acquisition regulations (FAR), and cost accounting standards (CAS).

·      Oversees initiatives of financial systems implementations and upgrades and promotes process improvement and automation initiatives

·      Recruit, train and retain professional-level staff members

Competencies:

·      In-depth understanding of accounting cycle, month-end close process, flow of financial information within the General Ledger, and financial models

·      Thorough knowledge of financial & legal best practices and requirements with a proven ability to provide sound and ethical financial counsel to executive leadership

·      Thorough understanding of and personal involvement with systems and methodologies of finance, accounting, tax and insurance

·      Demonstrates ability to manage large-scale projects with competing deadlines

·      Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite with strong Excel skills

·      Must be highly organized to balance a demanding workload and assess priorities

·      Must have strong interpersonal skills to interact at all levels, and ability to communicate effectively both in writing and orally

·      Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals

·      Ability to manage a team and have strong supervisory and leadership skills

·      Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Licenses, Certifications & Registrations:

CPA,CFA or other professional certifications (preferred)

Education, Experience & Training:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics from four-year college/university (required).
‍

MBA or advanced degree (required).
‍

Increasing levels of responsibility for finance and accounting preferably in an oil &gas or manufacturing environment, with a minimum of fifteen years of Accounting and FP&A experience.
